The “Ambassadors of Hope” Initiative

“Ambassadors of Hope” is a social initiative implemented by tenth grade female students from Abdul Rahim Mahmoud School in Nablus, to enable two of the families where the mother is the sole provider, by helping her start her own project that guarantees a financial return for the family.  The initiative achieved its goal in providing a sewing machine for the two families and an amount of money to buy sewing supplies, in addition to providing a food basket for each of them. 

Such an initiative, carried out as part of INJAZ program of community leadership and in cooperation with the solidarity charitable society, consolidated the leadership spirit of female students in several aspects, developed their leadership skills by dividing them into small groups each assuming several tasks. These included, communication and making partnerships with the solidarity charitable society whose goals are in harmony with those of the initiative and its objectives, which in turn facilitated the female students’ access to the two families and the preparation of a budget for the initiative to determine the costs needed for its implementation, and how to collect and manage funds. Subsequently, they organized a fundraising campaign inside the two schools and managed to get the approval of charitable societies to support the initiative financially and materially, in order for the “Ambassadors of Hope” initiative to realize, at the end, its desired goals.
