Ramallah – May 15, 2025
INJAZ Palestine, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and under the sponsorship of Housing Bank Palestine, concluded the final competition of the “Youth Creativity” program, now in its fifth consecutive year. The event took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, with broad participation from high school students.
This year, the program benefited more than 1,100 students from 36 schools across various directorates in the West Bank. The students launched 36 diverse initiatives in the fields of agriculture, technology, education, and the environment. Following the preliminary rounds in February, ten initiatives qualified for the final stage and competed for the top three national positions.
The judging panel of the competition included:
Mr. Hamed Abu Mokhu, Director General of Student Activities at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education
Ms. Nour Nusseibeh, Executive Director of the Dalia Association
Ms. Hanin Khoury, Senior Manager of Marketing Communications at Ooredoo Palestine
After passing through three evaluation phases, the winning schools were:
Kafr Ni’ma Girls Secondary School – Ramallah and Al-Bireh
Al-Omariyya Girls Secondary School – Qalqilya
Al-Jadida Boys Secondary School – Qabatiya
At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Hamed Abu Mokhuh emphasized the importance of joint efforts among partners in the success of the program. He noted that what distinguished this year’s edition was the diversity of initiatives across different fields. He stressed that this generation has the ability to create change and respond to real community needs, pointing out the outstanding creativity displayed by the participants. He affirmed that all students are winners for their efforts and excellence.
Ms. Majd Barghouthi, representing the Housing Bank Palestine, expressed her admiration for the remarkable youth energy observed during the event, noting the strength, relevance, and sustainability of the initiatives. She added, "Each team conveyed their idea in their own unique and creative way. The passion and energy these young people possess is a clear sign of their ability to make a real impact in their schools and communities." She also emphasized the importance of continuing to support such programs that give youth the space to express their ideas and create meaningful change.
Ms. Rania Kutteneh, General Manager of INJAZ Palestine, expressed pride in the fruitful partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. She thanked the educational staff and mentors for their efforts in making the competition a success, and extended her gratitude to the Housing Bank Palestine as the program’s sponsor and the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Chamber of Commerce and Industry for hosting the event.
Kutteneh noted that the program equips students with leadership and practical skills in planning, teamwork, problem-solving, and networking with community institutions—enhancing their chances of becoming positive change-makers in their communities.
