The Palestine Technical University Kadoorie hosted the first meetings of the Palestine Capital Market specialized training for students of the student company program, which INJAZ carries out at Palestinian Universities. The participating universities included; The Palestine Technical Company/Kadoorie, An Najah National University, Birzeit University, Palestine Polytechnic University. The meetings took place in the presence and participation of Professor Amjad Al-Masri, head of the innovation technology unit in education, and Dr. Bashar Abu Za’rour, General Manager for Research and Development at the PCMA. Also present was, Ms. Suhair Saleh, Capacity Development Unit Coordinator at An Najah National University, and the trainer Eng. Abdel-Latif Sbeih, Quality Officer of the Palestinian Accreditation Unit (PALAC), and Ms. Ghada Kittana, INJAZ Nablus branch manager, and Ms. Dania Habayeb, INJAZ branch manager in Tulkarem, and Ms. Tasneem Badran, INJAZ branch manager in Ramallah.
The PCMA provided as well a training program entitled “Preparing the Economic Feasibility Study” in which it examined the scientific and practical foundations needed to prepare economic feasibility studies for projects cited with realistic examples that simulate what is actually taking place in the job market. The training formed the basic aspects of the feasibility study including, market feasibility study, technical feasibility study, financial feasibility study.
This was the first joint meeting for participating students from Kadoorie and An Najah Universities. Several other complementary meetings that the PCMA holds will supplement this joint meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to help students acquire the expertize that will help them while they are in the process of establishing real companies that they will manage within the student company program. The meeting aims as well at enabling students from different universities to exchange expertise and experiences with each other, by allowing them to have the same training program and by encouraging them to participate in discussions related to the topics covered in the training sessions.
It is worth noting that the specialized training provided by the PCMA for the participating students in the student company program is organized as part of the partnership program of the PCMA and INJAZ. The training, which aims at developing the student company program and at ensuring its success, was offered by INJAZ for the first time at Palestinian universities.
