It organizes the training sessions as part of “My Voice My Rights” project, which is funded by the Canadian Representative Office. The project aims to train trainers to volunteer in empowering and developing the skills of school students in the art of debate and in how to conduct and manage a series of discussion and debate sessions.

In the city of Ramallah, INJAZ Palestine carried out a training program for a group of volunteers under the supervision of Muhannad Sami from the directorate of education.

During the workshop, INJAZ team gave volunteers training on how to prepare and qualify students to participate in debates and discussions.

In Qalqilya, INJAZ Palestine held a training workshop for volunteers under the supervision of Fadi Abu Hamdeh, from the activities department in the directorate of education.

During the workshop, INJAZ volunteers, using scientific research, gave a presentation on the foundations and art of argumentation and debating. From this workshop, INJAZ aims at training students to use their skills during student debates, which contribute to the development of their capabilities in dialogue, and of their competence educationally, socially, scientifically, literally and culturally and will enhance their role in building a better future.

“Debates help students dispel and overcome fear and equip them with all forms of knowledge”.  This was what a participating volunteer said about the importance of the project, during the training workshop that was held in Salfit under the supervision of the director of activities in the directorate of education in Salfit, and in the presence of the director of education Amin Awwad.

The program targets government school students from tenth and/or eleventh grade, where each school selects the candidates who will participate in the debate and represent the team in the final competition. Each school selects four representatives (3 debaters and one facilitator), and each of two schools will compete in a closing or final ceremony.
