Insect Repellent Device

Insect Repellent Device

In 2019, students of Qalqilya Industrial Secondary School, using the technology of their company CTQ-EXTRUDER, produced an insect repellent device. The device works on issuing anti-insect ultrasonic waves within an area of (50-100) square meters, through several integrated circuits, which operate a speaker that produces ultrasound waves that flying insects hear and flee from, and this is the principle of how the device works.

The device works on the principle of preserving the environment, as it does not kill insects but rather repels them. It has no side effects neither on children nor on pregnant women, and does not cause any side effects for humans. Students worked under the supervision of Khaled Yaseen from the Palestine Islamic Bank.
