In 2019, students from the Khadija Abdeen Secondary School for Girls in Hebron, and through their company al-Mubtakiroon Electronics, designed a warning device that senses the lack of oxygen in closed places. The device continuously monitors the level of oxygen in the room, and warns users when crossing critical levels, which helps the person to pay attention and counter the effects of hypoxia in the surrounding air.
The students worked under the supervision of volunteer Bahaa al-Takrouri from al-Tamkeen Company for Information Technology, and volunteer Maryam Dovish from MAFI Marketing Solutions.
