Step forward…INJAZ Online Programs

In light of what the country is encountering because of the Coronavirus crisis and the subsequent decision by the ministry of education to close schools, and impose lockdown, INJAZ was unable to continue delivering its programs and give classes inside schools.  It decided as a first step to develop an e-learning program to overcome the learning challenges, obstacles and difficulties resulting from the spread of the virus. Through this program, INJAZ succeeded in reaching out to its students through the implementation of multiple training sessions, several e-learning programs and platforms such as, for instance, the zoom program. It, in fact, redesigned some of its programs to suit the methods for training via e-learning platforms and programs, and to enable volunteers to communicate information to students.

Students reacted to this step with great enthusiasm, and this was clearly seen in their active participation in the discussion and in the type of questions they managed to come up with, which helped break their stalemate especially given that this was their first experience. After completing the workshop and communicating with the students to find out what benefits they were able to get out this experiment and their overall opinion of this method of learning, they were happy to learn of the positive reactions of the students, which in turn encouraged them to continue offering this type of training sessions.

The student Sujoud Sleiman from Jenin commented on her experience saying; “For me, this was the first time that I use the zoom program and participate in an electronic workshop, I am very happy with the experience, for it helped me a lot”.
