Student Company

The program offers students between the ages of (16-24 years old) a practical training by helping them establish their own company with all its administrative, financial and marketing details under the direct supervision of consultants from the Palestinian private sector. The participants in the program are expected to raise the company’s capital by selling shares to shareholders and by selecting a commodity or a service produced and marketed by the company. At the end of the program, the participants liquidate the company and distribute profits to the shareholders. A national competition is held between student companies in Palestine, and then a regional competition between Arab countries takes place. This program is offered to eleventh grade and university students.

The Program aims to:

  • Familiarize students with the organizational structure of companies, the most important departments and job tasks in general, the importance of by-laws, the mechanism of recruitment, and the job description. In addition, it introduces students to the types of companies, the board of directors, the general assembly, and the shares.
  • Teach students how to do research, market analysis, and develop marketing and sales plans.
  • Acquaint students with the process of offering shares for subscription, and show them how to liquidate the company and distribute profits.
  • Equip students with the methods of preparing and implementing plans.
